Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev says his country will sue Russia in international courts over the downing of an AZAL Embraer 190 airliner that killed 38 people. Aliev stressed that he had not received a response from Russia, despite seven months having passed since the disaster. According to Azerbaijani sources, the plane was hit by shrapnel from a surface-to-air missile while in Grozny airspace during an attack on Ukrainian drones. Aliyev called for accountability and compensation for the victims.
