Juan Guaido, the Venezuelan political opposition leader, has received a new arrest warrant from the Venezuelan Public Prosecutor's Office, which is accusing him of corruption related to his activities during his self-proclaimed interim presidency. He is implicated in an investigation into an alleged bribe of €500,000 a month offered to Spanish officials for recognizing him as leader. Guaido left Venezuela in 2023 after the opposition decided to end the interim government.
