A Seoul court has issued an arrest warrant for former president Yoon Suk Yeol on charges of attempting to impose martial law in December 2024 and falsifying official documents. The judge expressed fears that he could destroy evidence. Yoon, who is facing trial for rebellion, has refused to respond to summonses by the special council investigating the circumstances of martial law. He faces severe penalties, including life imprisonment or the death penalty.
