Andrew and Tristan Tate have been charged in the United Kingdom for rape and other offenses, following allegations made by three women, according to the Bedfordshire Police. Although a European arrest warrant has been issued, British authorities have agreed to wait for the completion of judicial proceedings in Romania, where the two are already being investigated for rape and human trafficking.
The British investigation targets incidents reported between 2014 and 2015, and authorities have reopened the investigation to ensure that the allegations are properly examined. This decision was made after the Independent Office for Police Conduct began an investigation into how the complaints were initially handled. The three women who made the allegations welcomed the resumption of the investigation, considering it a delayed measure.
Andrew Tate's lawyer mentioned that the British prosecution had previously decided not to bring charges due to lack of evidence. Additionally, the three women, along with a fourth claimant, have filed a civil action in the High Court of Justice in the United Kingdom, scheduled for June.
