The U.S. State Department has announced that it will begin issuing passports that will include an image of President Donald Trump, in the context of celebrating the 250th anniversary of America's independence. The official specified that this model will be available for those who renew their passports in person at the Washington office, while online options will retain the current design. The passport will feature Trump's face and signature in gold on the inside cover, and on the back cover, there will be an image from the painting "The Declaration of Independence" by John Trumbull. The spokesperson for the State Department, Tommy Pigott, mentioned that these passports will have customized illustrations, maintaining the security features specific to American documents. Additionally, other commemorative items, such as access permits in national parks and coins, will also include Trump's image. The total number of passports to be issued is not yet clear.
