In Miami, American and Ukrainian negotiators had a second day of discussions on Friday regarding the peace plan proposed by President Trump, intending to continue on Saturday as well. Although the positions of Ukraine and Russia seem irreconcilable, American officials believe that a compromise is possible, even regarding sensitive territorial issues. The discussions took place after a five-hour meeting between Trump's advisors and Russian President Putin, which Trump described as "very good." The Ukrainian delegation, led by Rustem Umerov and General Andrii Hnatov, met with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who presented them with details about the meeting with Putin and new ideas for bridging the differences. Although the discussions were considered positive, no immediate progress was announced.
