All employees of an educational institution in the Venice area refused to extend their employment contracts and left for other institutions, leaving the school without staff before the start of the new school year.

The employees’ contracts expired on August 31, but they decided not to accept the proposed new conditions. The institution is attended mainly by children from immigrant families from Asia, and one of the issues mentioned in the school’s activities was the difficulty of communicating with students’ parents.

The new principal, recently appointed to the position, was forced to launch an emergency recruitment campaign to fill the vacant positions. The administration is attempting to ensure the institution’s operation and the normal conduct of classes.

The simultaneous departure of the entire staff is the unprecedented aspect of the case and is putting pressure on the school administration, which must quickly find teaching staff and employees for other activities. The situation was reported by Mediafax Italia.
