On Tuesday, Afghanistan experienced a nationwide disruption of internet and mobile phone services, without any explanation from the Taliban administration. Previously, the Taliban had interrupted fiber optic connections in some provinces, citing moral reasons, concerned about online pornography. NetBlocks, a monitoring organization, confirmed that the internet was gradually disconnected, stating that the country is in the midst of a total outage.
