An accident on the M4 motorway in Great Britain occurred on Monday morning, when a truck carrying 20 tons of prosecco collided with another commercial vehicle, causing a 'major disruption'. The Thames Valley traffic police reported that boxes of prosecco bottles spilled onto the roadway, leaving behind significant debris and broken glass.
The incident took place near the towns of Newbury and Hungerford, in Berkshire county. One of the drivers is being investigated for dangerous driving, with indications that they may have used a mobile phone while driving. Surprisingly, only one person sustained minor injuries. The National Highways agency was alerted at 7:37, and the vehicle was recovered by 11:30, with debris cleared by 12:56. The M4 motorway reopened before 14:20, after being temporarily closed.
