Hawaii is being hit by a powerful storm, which will peak on the night from Thursday to Friday, bringing torrential rains and renewing the threat of major flooding. Precipitation could reach between 20 and 30 centimeters in certain areas, and a flood alert has been issued for the entire state.

The mayor of Honolulu, Rick Blangiardi, has warned citizens to be prepared for possible evacuations. Meteorologists have stated that the storm, although not a Kona storm, will have a similar impact, with strong winds that could cause damage. This is the third major storm to hit Hawaii since March, and many areas are still recovering from previous devastating floods. Authorities are monitoring the Wahiawa dam, which is in good condition, but remains vigilant in the face of the flood threat.
