The WHO has published an alarming report regarding the increase in the use of electronic cigarettes, highlighting that Europe has the highest tobacco consumption rate, with 24.1% of people over 15 years old consuming tobacco. Additionally, children are more likely to use electronic cigarettes. The WHO Director accused the tobacco industry of targeting young people and called on governments to implement strict tobacco control policies. Although global tobacco consumption is declining, one in five adults continues to smoke.
