The Romanian government has adopted a decision to supplement the budget of the Ministry of Health with 20 million lei from the budget reserve fund, to ensure medical treatments abroad for patients with serious conditions that cannot be treated in the country. This measure, considered urgent, responds to the increasing number of patients waiting and the need for complex treatments, such as advanced oncological therapies and specialized surgical interventions. It is also motivated by the legal obligations to cover the costs of specific treatments, including for patients with rare diseases.
