The extension of free vaccination for young people aged between 19 and 26 (both girls and boys) has contributed to an increase in the average number of beneficiaries to approximately 800 per month. Legally, this measure is promoted as an important step in reducing cervical cancer rates, where Romania has high figures.

PNL Deputy Raluca Turcan emphasized the importance of this law, mentioning that it is essential to combat the anti-vaccine movement with clear and credible messages. Turcan has had meetings with representatives of the Public Health Directorate and family doctors, who confirmed patients' reluctance towards vaccines.
