Brașov will benefit from the first public hospital built after 1990, the Clinical Hospital of Pneumophthisiology and Infectious Diseases, for which the City Hall has obtained funding through the National Investment Program in Hospital Infrastructure. The project, valued at over 368 million lei excluding VAT, will include 279 beds, of which 242 for continuous hospitalization, 15 for intensive care, and 22 for day hospitalization.

The hospital will have two buildings, with variable height, and will house departments for infectious diseases, pneumology, medical rehabilitation, and other specialties. The funding contract is expected to be signed after the clarifications requested by the Ministry of Investments and European Projects.
