Since this week is getting warmer, it would be a shame to stay at home, so if you are from Bucharest, here are our editorial recommendations for ways to spend your time:

Bucharest

The National Museum of Art of Romania (MNAR) - April 1 (Wednesday), 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Calea Victoriei 49-53 (Public transport: M2 University Square, Bus 100, 205, 381)

On the first Wednesday of every month, MNAR offers free access to the public. You can visit the Modern Romanian Art Gallery, the Old Romanian Art Gallery, and the European Art Gallery. It’s an opportunity to see masterpieces by Grigorescu, Aman, or Luchian without any costs.

The Green Hours Jam Lab Sessions | Part 6 - April 1, 8:00 PM, Green Hours, Calea Victoriei 120 (Public transport: M2 Roman Square, Bus 381, 100)

A jazz improvisation session open to musicians and music lovers. The atmosphere is that of a classic jazz club, perfect for a night out with friends.

The Palm Sunday Fair "The Sun Brings Palm Sunday" - April 3 - 5, 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM, National Village Museum "Dimitrie Gusti" (Public transport: M2 Aviatorilor, Bus 331, 335, 131, 205)

Craftsmen come with handmade items, decorated eggs, and traditional gastronomy (Lazar's pies). The atmosphere is that of a community celebration in the open air. We included this event as an exception, as the entrance costs 5 lei for students and 20 lei for adults; practically the cost of a soda from the store.

Adopt an Aristo&Crat – Edition II - April 5, 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Str. Armenească nr. 13 (Public transport: Bus 311, Trolleybus 66, 69, 70, 85, 90)

If you’ve thought about adopting a furry friend, or at least want to learn more about them, this event is for you, ideal for those who want to support charitable causes or socialize with other volunteers. Also, although the entrance is free, we encourage you to bring some money from home, as there will also be fundraising for cats.

Clothing Fair that Deserves a Second Chance - April 4 - 5, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Str. Constantin Mille (Public transport: M2 University, Bus 100, 381)

A community fair for pre-loved clothes. Emphasis is placed on the circular economy and reducing waste in the fashion industry, and let’s be serious, who doesn’t have clothes lying around, and wouldn’t want others.

Ventriloquism Show for Kids at Berăria H - April 4, 5:00 PM, Herăstrău Park (Public transport: M2 Aviatorilor, Bus 131, 335)

An interactive ventriloquism and magic show aimed at children, but fun for adults too.

Recycling Campaign "What’s NEXT?" - April 1 - 7 (daily), University Campuses in Bucharest (Public transport: M2 University, M3 Politehnica)

Citizens are invited to bring small electrical and electronic waste (WEEE) for responsible recycling. It is a community action for ecological awareness that we really need.

Special Screening: Great Actors of TNB – "The Little Hell" - April 4, Media Hall of the National Theatre (Public transport: M2 University)

The screening of a legendary play from the TNB archive, part of a series dedicated to the memory of great Romanian actors.

Documentary Photography Exhibition – ARCUB - April 1 - 7, Hanul Gabroveni, Str. Lipscani 84-90 (Public transport: M2 University)

Hanul Gabroveni frequently hosts contemporary photography exhibitions in its ground floor halls. It is a unique cultural space due to its restored architecture.

Promenade Concert in Cișmigiu Park - Weekend (April 4-5), afternoon, Foișorul din Cișmigiu (Public transport: Bus 122, 137, 336)

Concerts of brass band or classical instrumental music offered by the Culture Directorate of the City Hall as part of the spring programs.
