Recently appointed as deputy prime minister and the protagonist of a major controversy, Oana Gheorghiu has categorically dominated the visibility ranking of government members in the last week, being followed in the top by two ministers from USR, according to data provided by NewsVibe, an AI media monitoring platform. The analysis evaluates the online visibility of government members, excluding Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, whose consistently high presence could skew the comparison with other cabinet members. The visibility measurement is based on the volume and relevance of mentions in the digital environment, complemented by identifying the main themes that have captured public interest, as well as assessing the dominant tone of conversations in the online space.
The top government members present in online conversation from October 29 to November 4 is authoritatively led by Oana Gheorghiu, recently appointed as deputy prime minister. The political controversy generated by this appointment has propelled the co-founder of the "Dăruiește Viață" Association to the top of the ministers' visibility ranking, far ahead of other government members.
In second place in the ranking is Minister Ionuț Moșteanu (USR), whose visibility has increased in the context of the US decision to withdraw some American troops from Romania. Essentially, the Minister of Defense was the one who made the official announcement, confirming previously reported information in the media space. He also generated interest and drew attention to Ionuț Moșteanu's name with his announcement regarding the purchase of 18 F-16 aircraft from the Government of the Netherlands, at a symbolic price of 1 Euro.
Behind him in the ranking is Minister Radu Miruță (USR), whose public appearances have centered around a mix of controversies and initiatives. On one hand, the dispute with tourism employers – after the minister spoke about the "gaps" in this field – brought him public exposure, but also criticism from the private sector. On the other hand, Radu Miruță attracted attention through announcements regarding the attraction of 16 billion euros through the SAFE Program, aimed at the defense industry and strategic infrastructure, signing a partnership with Rheinmetall for the powder factory in Brașov County, as well as classifying the Rânca–Novaci area as a national interest tourist resort.
Continuing, Deputy Prime Minister Marian Neacșu (PSD) is in the last position in the ranking, distanced from the other government members.
In comparison, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan (who is not included in the analysis) recorded over 4,600 mentions, being at the same level in this regard as all other government members combined.

TRENDS IN MINISTERS' VISIBILITY. Beyond the case of Oana Gheorghiu, who recently entered the Government, the ministers present at the top of the ranking (Ionuț Moșteanu, Radu Miruță) are on an upward trend compared to the previous week, against the backdrop of a neutral tone in conversations related to them. Minister Diana Buzoianu (USR) is also notable, a constant presence in the upper area of the visibility ranking, which is experiencing a decline in the volume of mentions.
PUBLIC TONE BAROMETER. The sentiment analysis highlights the name Oana Gheorghiu, who appears in both positive (clearly more numerous) and negative contexts, being criticized but also supported in the context of her appointment as deputy prime minister. The name Alexandru Rogobete (PSD) is mentioned more in positive contexts, with the Minister of Health discussing the completion, by the end of this year, of the first burn center built in Romania after the Revolution, about the possibility for medical staff to report problems in hospitals to the Ministry of Health, but also about the case of the doctor from Buzău, who died while on duty.
A positive tone associated with conversations about ministers also existed in relation to international actors such as the USA or NATO.
The negative dimension of online conversations about ministers is dominated by the case of Oana Gheorghiu, in which political actors such as Sorin Grindeanu and PSD also appear.
The NewsVibe platform uses advanced analysis technologies based on artificial intelligence to detect the tone and context of discussions in the online environment regarding current topics and various public actors. This analysis focused on all mentions referring to members of the Romanian Government.

THE SEMANTIC NETWORK OF GOVERNMENT DEBATES. The semantic network analysis reveals how ministers are reflected and connected to each other in online conversations. Based on aggregated data from the main digital sources in Romania, the NewsVibe platform builds a graphical representation of the relationships between the major themes of public debate and the active political actors in the digital space.
The most important area of debate centers on Oana Gheorghiu, with associations reflecting the controversy surrounding her appointment to the Government (the involved actors and the subject related to her previous messages on social media): Ilie Bolojan, Sorin Grindeanu, PSD, Nicușor Dan, Facebook, Donald Trump.
Another dominant segment of discussions centers on Romania, associated with ministers such as Ionuț Moșteanu, Oana Țoiu (USR) or Daniel David. This is linked to security, foreign policy, and diplomacy themes, with a focus on transatlantic relations (the USA, NATO) – and in the case of the Minister of Education, with his participation in a UNESCO meeting.
A smaller cluster, but with a distinct thematic core, is formed around Alexandru Rogobete and the Ministry of Health. Although it has a lower volume of conversations, it is related to themes and public communication in the health sector.
The governmental area associated with public finances and the social domain (labor, family, social solidarity) prominently features ministers Alexandru Nazare (PNL) and Florin Manole (PSD). Both are connected in the network through themes concerning salaries and pensions.
A marginal cluster, in which the name Radu Miruță stands out, reflects the intersection between political themes (associated with USR) and economic/governmental subjects.
