Dismissed Deputy Prime Minister Dragos Anastasiu categorically dominates the ranking of online visibility of ministers over the past week, as measured by NewsVibe, a media and social media monitoring platform. The podium is completed by two USR ministers. The ranking assesses the online exposure of government officials (except for Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, who has a much higher visibility), identifying mentions and their impact, as well as detailed information on the topics that influenced this exposure or the tone of the language used in the digital environment.
In the last week there has been a first major crisis associated with the names of current cabinet ministers. Amid the controversy that eventually led to his departure from the government,Dragoș Anastasiu stood firmly at the top of the top cabinet members present in the online conversation between July 23-29. Even though he announced his resignation as deputy prime minister on July 27, he was retained in the weekly assessment in terms of the significant impact his gesture had on discussions about the government sphere - indeed, he would have remained the most visible minister even if the two post-dem resignation days were excluded from the measurement. And the communication associated with his actual departure from office continued in subsequent days.
He is followed by Environment Minister, Diana Buzoianu (USR), who is still in the top 3 (after last week's top spot), in terms of her public positions on issues such as the reorganization of Romsilva and the "Rabla" program. Also standing out in the top of the most visible ministers is the incumbent of the Ministry of Economy, Radu Miru Miruță (USR), whose name was present in the conversation about the selection of directors in state companies, the building of the Ministry of Economy occupied by a firm that does not pay rent or about vacation vouchers and the impact on the tourism market.
The best-ranked PSD minister is Alexandru Rogobete.
Last in the ranking, with the lowest number of mentions, is the Minister of European Funds, Dragoș Pîslaru.
Comparatively, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan (who is not included in the comparative measurement) received approx. 6,200 online mentions, up on the previous week.
