Dismissed Deputy Prime Minister Dragos Anastasiu categorically dominates the ranking of online visibility of ministers over the past week, as measured by NewsVibe, a media and social media monitoring platform. The podium is completed by two USR ministers. The ranking assesses the online exposure of government officials (except for Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, who has a much higher visibility), identifying mentions and their impact, as well as detailed information on the topics that influenced this exposure or the tone of the language used in the digital environment.

In the last week there has been a first major crisis associated with the names of current cabinet ministers. Amid the controversy that eventually led to his departure from the government,Dragoș Anastasiu stood firmly at the top of the top cabinet members present in the online conversation between July 23-29. Even though he announced his resignation as deputy prime minister on July 27, he was retained in the weekly assessment in terms of the significant impact his gesture had on discussions about the government sphere - indeed, he would have remained the most visible minister even if the two post-dem resignation days were excluded from the measurement. And the communication associated with his actual departure from office continued in subsequent days.

He is followed by Environment Minister, Diana Buzoianu (USR), who is still in the top 3 (after last week's top spot), in terms of her public positions on issues such as the reorganization of Romsilva and the "Rabla" program. Also standing out in the top of the most visible ministers is the incumbent of the Ministry of Economy, Radu Miru Miruță (USR), whose name was present in the conversation about the selection of directors in state companies, the building of the Ministry of Economy occupied by a firm that does not pay rent or about vacation vouchers and the impact on the tourism market.

The best-ranked PSD minister is Alexandru Rogobete.

Last in the ranking, with the lowest number of mentions, is the Minister of European Funds, Dragoș Pîslaru.

Comparatively, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan (who is not included in the comparative measurement) received approx. 6,200 online mentions, up on the previous week.

TRENDS IN MINISTERS' VIZIBILITY. Dragoș Anastasiu has seen a consistent increase in online visibility, up more than 550% compared to the previous interval, and the reflection comes in a predominantly negative context. Minister Radu Miruță is also on an upward trend, while Diana Buzoianu is decreasing in visibility. Also standing out is Minister Daniel David, on an upward trend in public exposure.

BAROMETER PUBLIC TONE. From the perspective of sentiment analysis, the name of Dragoș Anastasiu, frequently mentioned in a deeply negative context, also stands out. Daniel David, whose resignation has been demanded by the trade unions, but also Marian Neacșu (PSD), associated with the Anastasiu case through comments about his legal situation, also appear in unfavorable contexts, as do topics related to ANAF, Romsilva or Government in general.

Alexandru Rogobete (PSD), as well as geopolitical actors such as NATO or US.

Sentiment analysis developed by the NewsVibe platform uses specially trained AI algorithms and LLM tools to detect nuances of tone in the context of references to each of the relevant entities in an online conversation, in this case in the set of mentions of Romanian government ministers.

SEMANTICAL NETWORK OF GOVERNMENT DEBATES. To get a clear insight into how cabinet members were reflected in online conversations, we turn to semantic network analysis. This tool, developed by NewsVibe, allows us to identify and visualize the connections between topics, themes and personalities by analyzing co-appearances in mentions extracted from the most influential online sources in Romania.

Analyzing the previous week, the clear dominance of the debate on the controversy surrounding the Deputy Prime Minister Dragoș Anastasiu, with associated entities such as ANAF, DNA, Angela Burlacu, Ilie Bolojan or Nicușor Dan stands out. A separate segment included discussions about ministers Radu Miruță, Oana Țoiu (USR) and Alexandru Rogobete, suggesting themes associated with the act of government. The Medium, along with the minister Diana Buzoianu and the situation at Romsilva, was another distinct theme in the landscape of online conversations reflecting government activity, as was Education, respectively the minister in charge, amid the reform measures announced, but also the accusations against him from several areas.
