On Saturday morning, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 struck the east coast of the Kamchatka region in Russia, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). The earthquake was recorded at 06:08 (Romania time) and occurred at a depth of 10 km, located 76 km northeast of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
