An ANPM report shows that almost half of accidental pollution in 2023 was caused by oil companies.

According to the ANPM report, 202 accidental pollutions were recorded in 2023, 26% fewer than in 2022 but 28% more than five years ago. About 40% of accidental pollutions were caused by sewage spills or landfill fires.
