The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, exercised his electoral right this morning, voting for the new general mayor of the Capital at Gymnasium School No. 130 'Luceafărul' in Sector 5. This is the first time the president participates in a vote for the election of the general mayor, a position that has been vacant since his election at Cotroceni. The visit to the polls took place after an alert regarding a possible gas smell in the area, which led to the temporary halt of traffic. Intervention teams confirmed that the source of the smell came from the sewage system, and traffic was resumed. The voting process is proceeding without issues, and the Bucharest residents are choosing their new mayor for the coming years.
