President Nicuşor Dan attended the opening of the school year at Secondary School No. 1 Curcani, Călăraşi County. At the end of the visit, he made several press statements.

President Nicuşor Dan stated that, no matter how many speeches we give, the reality is that education in Romania has not received adequate funding for years, and this has had an effect on the education system. He also said that a mistake we have been making for years is that we do not value knowledge.

President Nicuşor Dan did not want to answer when he would make a new nomination for prime minister, pointing out that these four months have been a failure for everyone. The head of state also said that politics is the art of compromise that does not compromise. 

”A mistake we have been making for years is that we do not value knowledge. We are a society that neglects this, and we all suffer because there is a correlation between prosperity and growth. And no matter how many speeches we give, the reality is that education in Romania has not received adequate funding for years. And this has had an effect on our education system. We live in an increasingly complex society in which people, in order to achieve various professional objectives, must combine their skills. So teamwork is necessary. If we talk about politics as a profession, politics is the art of compromise that does not compromise,” said the head of state.
