In the first eight hours after polling stations opened in Romania, 6,424,045 Romanians voted. Of these, 3,745,800 were in urban areas and 2,678,245 in rural areas.

At 3:00 pm, the turnout for the current elections in Romania was 35.71%, compared to 28.56% 28.56% in the first round of the 2025 presidential election and 31.40% in round 2 of the 2019 presidential election.

Voting turnout for the current election is 7.15% higher than in round 1 of the 2025 presidential election and 4.31% higher than in round 2 of the 2019 presidential election.
