Gabriela Firea, PSD candidate for Mayor of Bucharest, announced in a Facebook post plans to build a new road linking Sector 5 to the rest of Bucharest, in a bid to reduce lost time in traffic. Firea also said she would work with future sector mayors to modernize the city's road infrastructure.
