The Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude His Beatitude Daniel, voted on Sunday at a polling station in Bucharest, exercising his right to vote in the second round of the presidential elections. By 17:00, some 9 million Romanians had voted, with a turnout of 50% surpassed at around 16:45, compared to 39.5% in the first round. Voting in the diaspora was also more active, with a 30% increase compared to the first round.
