Patriarch Daniel blesses students and urges them to cultivate faith, values and responsibility toward their families and society

Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church has issued a message marking the beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year, blessing students, professors and parents and underscoring the importance of supporting young people through professional and spiritual education.

The Patriarch says that young people are a blessing from God for the family, the Church and society. In his message delivered at the start of the new academic year, he states that developing personal identity, establishing and supporting the Christian family, raising children in the spirit of enduring values, and educating them in the Christian faith must be shared priorities of the Family, the Church and the School.

According to the message quoted by Agerpres, an integrative education is necessary for the professional and spiritual development of young people, so that they can actively participate in the life of the Church and Romanian society.

Patriarch Daniel prayed that students would gain wisdom, lead good and righteous lives, and be a source of joy to their parents, teachers, the Church and the Romanian people. He wished all students, teaching staff and parents health and support.
