Marcel Ciolacu, the PSD candidate for the position of president of the Buzău County Council, voted at polling station no. 1 and stated that he has made "the biggest step" of his political career, emphasizing the importance of returning home. He highlighted the need for a real partnership with the Buzău City Hall to bring about essential changes and reforms in areas such as health, education, and transportation. Ciolacu mentioned that the Moldova Highway will bring economic opportunities to the county and encouraged the people of Buzău to participate in the vote to defend democracy. The mayor of Buzău, Constantin Toma, voted for continuity and emphasized the importance of large-scale projects for the development of the county. Ciolacu and Toma were accompanied by deputy Romeo Lungu during the vote.
