Saturday is the deadline for submitting candidates for the Romanian presidential elections. So far, 11 candidates have entered the race.

So far, 11 candidates have entered the race for the Cotroceni, and the Central Electoral Bureau will decide on the admission or rejection of the registration of the candidate and the electoral sign within 48 hours of their submission. The list of candidates in the order in which they registered is: Elena Lasconi, Nicolae Ciucă, Călin Georgescu, Kelemen Hunor, Mircea Geoană, Diana Șoșoaca, Cristian Diaconescu, Cristian Terheș, Ana Birchall, Marcel Ciolacu and Ludovic Orban. The presidential elections will take place on November 24 - first round and December 8 - second round.
