The candidate for the Bucharest City Hall, Ciprian Ciucu, came out on Sunday, December 7, from the polling station and made his first statements to the press.

"I voted not for sterile quarrels, I voted for integrity, I voted with a peaceful heart because I did everything I could in this campaign and I call on people to vote, to come and vote, to express their vote. Unfortunately, there is only one round. I have seen that voting in a single round can lead to a significant fragmentation of the political spectrum, at least for mayors who need legitimacy. I have seen that there have been all sorts of manipulations lately, which have been done through opinion polls, but I remain confident in the chance I have to win these elections," declared Ciucu upon leaving the polls.
