The Minister of Education Mihai Dimian has signed the order approving alternative framework plans for high school, as part of a pilot program aimed at decentralizing decision-making at the school level. The initiative includes 32 high school educational units and allows them to create their own curricular structures, tailored to the needs of students and local specifics.
The program is part of a broader reform project, through which high schools can test new and more flexible educational models, with long-term evaluation. The goal is to develop a system more adapted to current realities, in which schools have more autonomy in organizing subjects and the educational program.
Authorities argue that this piloting represents an important step towards modernizing education and could lay the groundwork for broader changes in the structure of high school education in Romania.
