Over 88,000 young people from 150 countries have applied for scholarships to study in Romania, a record number, announces Minister Oana Țoiu.

The interim Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Ţoiu, announced that this year over 88,000 applications for study scholarships in Romania have been received, a record number, 19 times higher than four years ago. Young people from over 150 countries, across five continents, choose Romania for the educational opportunities offered by local universities, which train specialists in various fields.

Ţoiu emphasizes that these young people see Romania not only as a study destination but also as a chance to build a future, considering the progress made in the last three decades and the country's membership in the European Union. After the validation of applications, the results will be communicated, and those selected will benefit from government scholarships. They will become ambassadors of Romania in their countries, strengthening the ties between nations. Ţoiu believes that these scholarships represent a valuable investment in the future of Romania's international relations.
