The first tests of the national assessments organized by the Ministry of Education will begin on Tuesday, May 12, with students in the second grade. The tests will include assessments in Language and Communication, Reading, and Mathematics, conducted until May 15. The schedule continues with assessments for the fourth grade, scheduled between May 19 and 21, followed by those for the sixth grade, which will take place from May 26 to 28. The Ministry of Education has specified that, starting from the 2025-2026 school year, the tests will focus on applied tasks and situations close to the daily life of students, aiming to assess broader competencies. The results will have a predominantly formative role, being used to provide personalized feedback, not for classifying students. Additionally, experimental items measuring functional literacy competencies will be introduced to evaluate students' ability to use knowledge in practical contexts.
