National Assessment 2026: The lowest number of appeals in the last seven years. Almost 30% of the works received low grades after re-evaluation.

At the National Assessment 2026, 14,176 appeals were submitted, the lowest number in the last seven years, after 48,471 students requested to view their papers.


Approximately 30% of the students who consulted their papers decided to contest the results. Following the reevaluation, 60% of the contested papers received higher grades, however, for 4,265 papers the grade was lowered.

The most appeals were regarding the Romanian Language and Literature exam, where 8,981 requests were recorded, followed by mathematics, with 4,888 appeals, and the mother tongue, with 307.

After regrading, 2,710 papers in Romanian and 1,457 in mathematics received lower grades than the initial ones.


The next stage of high school admission begins on July 13, when students will complete their option sheets. These can be submitted until July 20, and the computerized allocation is scheduled for July 22.
