The Ministry of Education has established the enrollment calendar for nursery and kindergarten for the school year 2026-2027

The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) announced on Tuesday the final form of the enrollment calendar for nursery and kindergarten for the school year 2026-2027.

Enrollment will not be done on a 'first come, first served' basis, but according to the criteria established in the methodology. Children aged between 3 months and 3 years can be enrolled in nursery, while those between 3 and 6 years can be enrolled in kindergarten, within the limits of available places after re-enrollment of those already enrolled. Parents can express three options in the enrollment request, which is submitted to the chosen unit as the first option. The re-enrollment stage will take place between May 18 and 22, and the results will be posted on May 22. The first enrollment stage will take place between May 25 and June 18, and the second stage between June 22 and July 9. An adjustment stage will take place between August 17 and 27, for children who have not been enrolled previously. The final results will be posted on August 28.
