The government will award cash prizes of up to 7,500 lei to Olympic students who have won medals at international competitions.

The Ministry of Education has allocated 3.9 million lei for awards to Olympians and the teachers who trained them and the schools they come from. The beneficiaries are138 student Olympians who won 164 medals, prizes and mentions at 28 international and regional competitions. Awards for students and researchers have not been approved.
