Final results of the 2026 baccalaureate exam: The pass rate has increased to 76.9%

On July 12, the final results of the 2026 baccalaureate exam were published, and the pass rate increased to 76.9% after the resolution of appeals, with 2.1 percentage points more compared to the initial grades. 97,020 candidates passed, of which 70 obtained an overall average of 10.

The success rate for the current graduating class is 81.6%, while for previous cohorts it is 35.1%. The most 10s were obtained in the mandatory subject of the profile, and 29,084 candidates were failed.

The Ministry of Education recorded 55,454 appeals, most concerning the Romanian language and literature exam. The schedule for the autumn session of the exam was also announced, with candidate registration taking place from July 14 to 21, 2026.
