In the first seven months of 2025, the general budget revenues increased to 370.77 billion lei, while expenditures reached 447.21 billion lei, highlighting a significant deficit. The Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, emphasized the importance of controlling public spending to prevent a downgrade of the investment rating. Revenue increases were supported by income and dividend taxes, while social assistance and interest expenditures rose significantly, reflecting the measures for recalculating pensions and energy support.
