The main structure of the Neptun Alpha production platform has been completed and most of the equipment has been installed on the decks, with plans to be loaded and transported to the Black Sea for installation soon, reports Economica.net.

The Neptun Deep project is progressing according to plan, with the completion of the main structure of the Neptun Alpha production platform and the installation of most of the equipment.

The platform, which is being built in Indonesia and is intended for processing gas extracted from the Domino and Pelican South fields, is set to be transported to the Black Sea for installation in 2026.

Petrom officials have confirmed that the project is on budget and without security incidents. So far, four out of ten wells have been drilled, and work on the gas treatment station in Tuzla is progressing. The project involves an investment of 4 billion euros, with an estimated annual production of 8 billion cubic meters and total reserves of 100 billion cubic meters. Although no exact date has been specified for the start of production, teams are ready for drilling in the Pescăruș area.

According to the valid implementation plan, production is scheduled to begin in 2027.
