The Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, announced that he is working together with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan on a "scenario" for reducing the excise duty on fuels.

This measure comes as a response to the increase in pump prices, influenced by the war in the Middle East, especially by the Israel-US attack on Iran.

Transport companies have already publicly requested this intervention, highlighting the negative impact of the price increases on their activities.

Reducing the excise duty could provide a temporary solution to mitigate the economic effects generated by these international events.
