As part of a national campaign, the Labor Inspectorate checked the protection of day laborers, imposing fines of 1,008,000 lei for serious irregularities, including non-payment of wages and the use of minors. The Minister of Labor, Florin Manole, emphasized the importance of respect in the workplace, promising to continue control actions to prevent abuses. Inspectors checked 439 beneficiaries and 2,997 day laborers, finding multiple legal deficiencies.
