The Greek company Aktor has started digging the twin tunnels at Ormeniș with a TBM called Varvara. The project is part of the Brasov - Sighisoara section of the Rhine - Danube Corridor. The tunnels will have a length of 6.9 km each and will be bored by two TBMs. The project is co-financed by the European Union and the contract was signed by CFR SA with the AKTOR SA - Alstom Transport SA - Arcada Company consortium.
