The decision was made after the Danish Minister of Commerce, Morten Bodskov, canceled his trip for last-minute reasons. The theme of the annexation of Greenland by the USA, desired by Trump, will dominate the forum's agenda, in the context where over 60 heads of state are expected. Meanwhile, Denmark has decided to supplement the military contingent in Greenland, where soldiers will participate in the 'Arctic Endurance' exercise, focused on defending NATO's northern flank.

In the face of Trump's threats to impose tariffs on European countries that support Denmark, several states, including Germany and Norway, have withdrawn their military contingent from Greenland, thus strengthening solidarity with Denmark.
