Aimee Picchi, associate editor at CBS MoneyWatch, reports that despite the persistent inflation in the U.S. affecting food prices, consumers will pay 2-3% less for Thanksgiving meals in 2025. Wells Fargo's analysis showed that the prices of basic foods for this holiday are not the ones contributing to the overall price increase, which has been driven by rises in beef, bananas, and coffee. Although most consumers expect a higher bill, those who choose private labels will spend about $80 for a meal for 10 people, while brand-name products can cost up to $95. Walmart offers a holiday dinner package at the price of $4 per person, with 23 items, fewer than last year, but still more affordable.
