The Bucharest Stock Exchange opened in the red on Monday. All indices are in decline.

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) started Monday's session with a generalized decline across all indices, recording a turnover of 35.16 million lei (approximately 6.90 million euros) after the first 30 minutes of trading. The main index BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a depreciation of 1.42%. Additionally, the BET-Plus index, which tracks the 43 most liquid stocks, decreased by 1.47%. The BET-XT index, which includes the 25 most liquid titles, lost 1.60%, while BET-BK, the benchmark for investment funds, depreciated by 2.32%.

The BET-FI index, dedicated to SIFs, recorded a decrease of 2.33%, while BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector, registered a decline of 0.74%. Among the stocks with the largest increases were OMV Petrom (+3.71%), Transilvania Insurance Broker (+1.85%) and Prefab (+1.35%). In contrast, the stocks of Compania Energopetrol (-15%), Turbomecanica (-14.91%) and Alro (-6.67%) recorded the largest declines.
