The Bucharest Stock Exchange opened Monday’s session higher, after the first 30 minutes of trading, amid total turnover of 859.5 million lei, equivalent to 163.5 million euros. Bond transactions accounted for almost the entire value of trades, totaling 854 million lei.
The benchmark BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid listed companies, rose 0.64%. BET-Plus gained 0.62%, BET-XT advanced 0.54%, and BET-BK climbed 0.40%.
The energy sector posted one of the strongest performances, with the BET-NG index recording a gain of 0.89%. By contrast, BET-FI fell 0.35%, while BET AeRO lost 0.50%.
Rompetrol Rafinare recorded the largest increase in share prices, at 5.77%, followed by One United Properties, up 2.01%, and Transgaz, up 1.76%. At the other end of the scale, Ropharma fell 8.33%, Aeta declined 5.30%, and Condmag dropped 4%.
