Tesla is radically changing its strategy, announcing the halt of production for the Model X SUV and the luxury Model S sedan to focus on artificial intelligence. CEO Elon Musk emphasized that the company's future is no longer in luxury cars, but in the development of technologies such as the Optimus robot, for which the Fremont factory will be repurposed. This decision comes amid a decline in revenues in the automotive sector, with an 11% drop and 16% fewer deliveries, but Tesla has exceeded Wall Street expectations with revenues of $24.9 billion. Musk has promoted AI projects, including the fleet of autonomous Robotaxis, and announced a $2 billion investment in the startup xAI. With planned capital expenditures of $20 billion, Tesla is betting on future growth, despite challenges in the automotive market, including losing the title of the largest electric car manufacturer to BYD.
