Tata Motors and Iveco Group announced in Turin the beginning of a new operational chapter through the formation of a global commercial mobility company. The entity brings together complementary portfolios of vehicles, powertrain systems and technologies, with the aim of accelerating the development of cleaner, connected and more efficient transport solutions.
The resulting company ranks fourth worldwide among commercial vehicle manufacturers and has more than 73,000 employees. Its operations extend across more than 130 countries, with annual sales of approximately 590,000 vehicles and combined revenues of around €21 billion. The network includes 27 production facilities, 25 research and development centers, and approximately 9,300 sales and service centers.
Iveco Group will retain its headquarters in Turin, while its brands, teams and industrial structure will continue to operate separately. Tata Motors supports the Italian group’s strategy and investments, while the two companies will combine their expertise in engineering, procurement, distribution, software and powertrains. The joint portfolio covers internal combustion engines, natural gas, electric and hydrogen powertrains for light-, medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, buses and industrial applications.
