Stellantis announces the temporary halt of production in the factories in Naples, Paris, Tychy, Eisenach, Vigo, and Zaragoza, in response to difficulties in the European market. Thousands of employees will enter technical unemployment over the course of several weeks in September and October. Despite facing challenges, Stellantis sold over 1.65 million cars in the first eight months of the year, maintaining its second place in Europe, after Volkswagen Group, and dominating the commercial vehicle segment. Commercial director Luca Napolitano highlights the excellent performance in this sector and the growth in sales in key markets.
