The alert comes after the US Federal Aviation Administration advised Boeing 737-900ER operators to visually inspect the airplanes' door panels following the detachment of a door panel on an Alaska Airlines plane. Five 737-900ER airplanes with that component are operated in Europe and are covered by the call for inspections.
