Romania's gas production has dropped significantly, from 23.5 million cubic meters per day to 18.5 million cubic meters per day, due to overhauls at the Black Sea fields and at Romgaz. This reduction has led to increased dependence on imports, which now cover 40% of national consumption. Despite the drop in domestic production, exports to Moldova continue, with Romania as the only source of supply. Gas storage for the winter has fallen, with only 9.5 million cubic meters being put underground, compared with 12-13 million in previous days.
