Last year, Romania opened almost ten times more electricity generation capacity than in 2022.

In 2023, 624 MW were added to the national power system, plus more than 1,000 MW for prosumers. With these new investments, Romania has become a net exporter of electricity, which positions the country in a more favorable position to achieve its potential as a regional leader and energy hub for the entire region.
